The Sparkling Hill - Our HIGHLIGHT

Our expectations of the upcoming accomodation were pretty high as we drove the long way from Banff (Alberta) to Vernon (B.C.). (about 450 km)

As soon as we drove up the hill from Vernon, we recognized that this place must be a special one. The access to the Sparkling Hill Resort leads through Predator Ridge. A newly builded area with a lot of beautiful houses to sell or under construction.

The whole area is surrounded by two golf courses. Probably you can already imagine, how this pretty place was developed as a luxury resort for wealthy people which are looking for a nice place to stay after their retirement or just for people like us with high expectations and a passion for details. ;-)

After this first impression and a short uphill drive, we finally reached the entrance and were overwhelmed by the impressive lobby. The Sparkling Hill is a Swarovski crystal-infused Resort.  Astonishing over 3.5 million crystals infused within this modern oasis. The whole complex is European-inspired with an elegant design.

This specially constructed place is located in the mountains near Vernon and reminded us on a James Bond movie. Moreover you have a lovely overlook on Lake Okanagan.

The first glimpse into our room...
You don't even have to stand up from your bed to overlook Lake Okanagan... Or it is possible to enjoy a bath and watch the scene below.

Through the bathroom you can see this lake as well.

In every room there can be found Swarovski-Crystals. (second pict. on the left with changing colours) WOW, a real dream of every woman
After we settled our first impressions, we went for a quick snack and ordered a plate of meat and cheese with a bottle of regional wine. We were kind of surprised how reasonably priced the whole course was.

Even the chandelier in the dining room is out of Swarovski-Crystals.

Romantic ambience for dinner.
The next day we first went sightseeing through the Predator Ridge area and got some impressions of this newly builded neighbourhood. In the afternoon we played a whole round of golf on one of the local courses.

Beside this squirrel there were also some deers which crossed our fairway during our round. It was amazing to see this animals nearby the civilization.

On the course with our own cart. It is always a lot of fun to cruise around... back home we are not used to have always such a cart while golfing.
Although this sport took a lot of time, we didn't missed the sunset back in our room.

CHEERS TO EVERYBODY AND THANKS CANADA FOR THIS AMAZING AND UNFORGETTABLE THREE WEEKS. WE HAD REALLY A LOT OF FUN AND ENJOYED OUR TIME SO MUCH.

Our last evening back in Vancouver before taking off to Denver.
