Victoria and crazy bear mountain...

After we reached Nanaimo with the BC Ferry, we drove in a heavy rainfall to the south part of Vancouver Island to the capital city of British Columbia, called Victoria.

At seven o'clock in the morning we left our hotel to be at eight on bear mountain. A very beautiful place to play some golf. Although it was one of the most difficult course I ever played, we both played par on this particular hole. How proud we were.... ;-)

There were also some deers who crossed the fairways. 

After a little shock because of a loss of our vallet (we put it on the false golf-cart), we hit the road towards the surfer's paradies, called Tofino B.C.

Goodbye Vancouver

Ready to hit the road! After we spend our last day in Vancouver, it's time to move on and go on our road trip. First we'll have to take the ferry to Vancouver Island.

Vancouver is a beautiful city, very sporty and well dressed business people all over. Downtown has a very interesting history with influences from the pioneers who created the rail road. This pictures are taken in the Gastown, a historic part of downtown.

Here some impressions taken from the Lookout at Harbor Centre, a 360 degree platform on top of a huge building:

After we ate at a trendy Italian Restaurant called 'Nook', we walked home on the bayside and could shot some marvellous pictures from the skyline.

We didn' t expect golf to be so dangerous... ;-)

Today we went on a golf course at Fraserview and played a full round of golf...

We didn't expect that 18 holes could be so dangerous.... 

You can't imagine how surprised we were as one of this freaky animals crossed our fairway...

In the evening we met Mänä at the Pan Pacific for a little "Apéro". I grew up with her in Eriswil. Today she's my dentist as well as my TaeBo friend!! ;-) It was nice to see you and we wish you all the best for your upcoming trip!! Have fun and enjoy!!

  

Safety first!

Today, we took advantage from the complementary service from our great hotel and went off with the bike. After 6 hours of cruising through Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver, we took our car and drove to the Metrotown shopping mall. Now we're starving and looking forward to a nice meal @ Joey's...

1st Day in Vancouver

How sad is this: you are in an unknown city and the first day starts with raining... :-( 

The only escape is to go to Starbucks and start the day with a delicious chai tea latte! ;-)

Vancouver

Thanks to Miles & More we had a very comfortable and safe flight to Vancouver. 

After we checked in at the Loden Hotel we visited "the keg" to get a delicious dinner. ;-)

Now we are ready to fall asleep...
